Buzz Toronto launches!

Sure, you can read the ad about the next big concert or blockbuster movie. That’s easy and everyone can do it. Buzz Toronto goes beyond the pricey big-ticket events and keeps you in-the-know about awesome TV shows, cool concerts that don’t cost $85, parties and special events in Toronto.

I scout the newspapers, check out the web sites, TV guides and entertainment magazines to bring you unique, cool and inexpensive places to go, shows to watch and concerts to hear.

These are the things I like to do. I hoping you’ll like them too. So please let know if I hit the mark!

Movies you’ll want to see

Blood Diamonds
Diamonds aren't just about glitter. Getting diamonds and the fighting that surrounds them is what’s this film’s about. All I know is that it stars Leo Di Caprio and for my money, this guy is one of the best actors in Hollywood. (See The Departed and you’ll know exactly what I mean.)

I’ll be in line this Friday when Blood Diamonds opens.

Borat
What can I say about this film that hasn’t been said already. See the film and you’ll understand why this guy is getting his ass sued off. Nonetheless, it’s the funniest film I’ve seen in years.

TV Shows

Okay, for the most part it’s crap but if you look hard enough there’s some great things on TV.

The Simpson’s
Who cares how long they’ve been on. The writing’s sharp and the stories are funny and spot-on. Don’t miss it. Sundays at 8:00 on Global TV.

Six Feet Under
DARK but irresistible. This is the kind of show that you think about for a week after you watch it. If you haven’t already, give it a try. You’ll love it!

60 Minutes
Once in while they have lame stories but for the most part, this show is the absolute best investigational show out there. They get the big interviews and often find incredibly powerful stories. These guys break the news!

Dog the Bounty Hunter
One minute crazy bounty hunter, next minute helping fugitives get on the track to a better life. This guy is definitely larger-than-life!

Heads-Up Calendar
Here’s list of things coming up that you’ll want to check out!
